Lots of dry fire practice will help

Just curious, what would you gain by doing that?

I’m shooting 156 Berger’s out of a 7.5” Brux in a 6.5x55 Ackley and they’re shooting very well. I don’t see a need for 7”.

2845fps. I get sticky lift at 2960 which is right where another node starts to tighten up. The throat is a little on the short side. I could easily take it out another .150” and probably shoot that node. In two weeks I’m going to try another load at about 2890 which showed promise and see how...

The biggest question is does the gunsmith actually know what he’s doing when it comes to lapping a throat. I’d say a lot more guys don’t know than do. Personally I would never let anyone touch the inside of a barrel it was chambered by a competent gunsmith.

I have a 6.5x55 Ackley I built for F Open. I won our 1K Open match last weekend with the 156’s. I haven’t finalized a load yet but they are very easy to work with and insensitive to seating depth. I’m using RL23 for the temp stability and the burn rate is very appropriate for the case. 7.5”...

I like the NSX turrets a lot better. The glass is the same.

What twist do they need?

640, 22-250 Ackley. N/E California. He was out harassing cows at about 900. I tried calling him in but he hung up around 640. I told my buddy to shoot him but he said he couldn't. I connected on the second shot. He spun around a couple times and tipped over.

Primos Ki-Yi. Great call, you pull the reed out and use it to make all kinds of sounds like fawn and coyote pups. Killed quite a few with it.

I shot a McM A5 for a couple years and then went to the Manners T5A and find it so much more comfortable.

This would be the easiest way to go^^ Encore's are really accurate too.

A small Starret machinist level works nice.

Looks like one that hasn't been shot much. That little nick at the FP hole will show up on a primer but probably cause any problems.

To 300 yards is great, 400 it's barely enough. 18x+ is a lot better.
