I honestly didn’t know this about those rifles. I have an early ‘90’s Mini-30 Ranch Rifle in 7.62 Russian that’s actually a little tackdriver out to 125 yards or so. Maybe it’s good out further, but I haven’t tried.

I would agree with the 7mm Rem Mag. A lot of flash and recoil for something the .280 Remington (7mm Express) can do nearly as well in most situations.
