If you have a 243 wssm in the ar-15 platform for sale let me know. I would prefer to just buy an upper but might consider purchasing the whole gun. Thanks.
I have one on my browning 7mm rem mag, and one on my .243, And a friend with one on his 300 wsm and his 257 weatherby. I think they are an excellent scope for the price. Seem to be true on adjustments and glass is great for the price point with a warenty program thats is very hard to beat.
Its been 10 months and I am finally able to show/share a picture of my first semi custom build. Last december I bought a remington 700 300 wsm with the intention of building off the action. Shortly after I bought the rifle I got a 6.5 mm shilen match grade SS barrel on order. 1:8 twist. 2 months...
Personally for the money I think it is very hard to beat the vortex scopes. Vortex viper 6-24x50 with a 30mm tube in the $450 range I feel is a very nice scope and you can have the turret cut for your load as well. I love the vortex optics and their warrenty program is very hard to beat. I own 3...
My 2 cents would be for the 7wsm. My brother has a christensen arms 7wsm and that rifle is absolutly deadly. He is shooting a 140grain ttsx at 3250 fps or so thats just off the top of my head and may be off slightly.
Here is my last 2 loads I tried. I dont have the length handy at the moment. I do know I went just shy of as long as the rifle would accept.

I'm am working up loads for my rem 700 .243 currently and Ive been inpressed with the 95 gr berger so far and will be putting one to the test in a month or so on a nice muley i'm hoping.
Yeah it is a little backwards. 95% of the time there is no one else at the range when I'm shooting, or I just go out in the hills and set up my own range. (Which a lot of people do around here) so it's not going effect other shooters very often. I guess I'm a lucky one with our range.
I like brakes on bigger calibers. But when I get a brake done I also have a thread protector cut for it so when i'm at the range I can shoot with the brake, watch my shots and not worry about a sore shoulder. Then when im headed out for I hunt I screw the brake off and put the thread protector on.
My favorite rifle still is my Remington 700 .243. Nothing special just my first hunting rifle, the rifle I have killed the most game with, and the one with very little recoil its very accurate. I know there is faster flatter guns out there but I Love my .243. Next vote goes for a .257 of some...
