Absolutely love the 7X08 It's a keeper, and shot it for years, does everything. I use the 139gr eld-X and love those also, do reload mine with the same seed

Mark the correct hole , take it off and mill it deeper by .010 to start, or measure it then mill some of the holes out

I know you probably did it , but for now set it a few gr lower, you can get a reset manual on line or give them a call, very helpful, Good luck

I agree, the Arkin are excellent scopes and the price is great. Japanese glass, I have 4 Vortex and 5 Arken, both are great, also have 2 of the Athlon 6-24 in mils

I would do the same process but use 1200 grit wet sandpaper , or at least 800 even you could use lapping compound, very fine
