I'm getting a Rim-X action and trying to decide between a Shilen or Bartlein barrel. I have Bartlein barrels on some of my other rifles, but I've never used a Shilen.

It's amazing how far and accurate the 22lr rifles are now. I have my son's tikka in bravo stock and it fits us both nicely.

I'm still using my old Leica, but I want to get a new one to sync with my kestrel.

I remember when my grandfather took me shooting. He will always remember this. I know I enjoy shooting with my kids, probably more than they do with their old man.

I hold for wind. I dial for elevation depending on distance, but sometimes I just hold over.

I had this same debate for my son, but ended up going with the 7mm-08. I plan on using it occasionally and under normal conditions ammo is easily found.

Welcome! I had the same one, but had a custom one built so I traded it in. I have a Savage 0 moa picatinny rail and regular size bolt handle if your interested. I didn’t like the tactical one.

I too was getting ready to build another rifle in 7mm and came across this thread. I was going to build a 7-08 so my boys could use it too, then started considering the 7 saum and found this thread. I just received my 26" Bartlein barrel with 1-9 twist and I have everything except the action...

If your wanting an auto loader, take a look at the Franchi Affinity 3 or Affinity 3.5. They are made by Benelli, even have Benelli engraved on some of the parts and uses their recoil system.

I use the crosstac precision mat. I like it because it has a raised lip (like a doll rod) on the front of the mat which is good for the bipod legs to rest against.
