I got a older 30/06 back from my dad, when I bore scoped it, big carbon ring. Used a pistol cleaning rod with a 30 caliber bronze brush wrapped with a patch soaked with wipe out brand Carbon Remover. Twisted by hand didn’t take long to remove.

I’m shooting 195 eldm out of my 1/11 twist! 2930 fps

I have some medium 30 mm rings on a model 70 with weaver bases. They are a bit too tall, bottom of base to bottom of rings is .5 of an inch. If that helps at all?

People don’t usually shoot animals in the stomach?

I have been using lockeze graphite in my barrels after they are cleaned up. Do you find that copper does not stick in the barrels as bad? Have you ever had pressure issues if you left too much in your barrels? I’m thinking of trying the spray can type of graphite as it maybe finer. Thanks

Thanks Fenix I will have to watch that one again! I was wondering if I needed to make a small tape measure to stick in the bore and read it with my bore scope. Haha! I always thought weatherby got a bad rap years ago with their long leade or was it the freebore that nobody liked years ago? Now...
