Magpul sells a SA stock, which works great. I bought mine via Ebay for about $250. Anarchy Outdoors has them also, but they are higher. Go to Magpul site for all their details

I put a MagPul stock on mine before I sent it to Ruger. It did not make any difference. After Ruger changed the barrel it shoots well. I also own American 30-06 and it shoots sub .5 MOA with my handmade. Good gun for the money, but I did get a lemon in the 308 and Ruger corrected the issue.

I had to send mine back to Ruger for evaluation. I could not get it to shoot under 1 MOA with factory loads or my reloads. Ruger guarantees 1 MOA with factory ammo. They put a new barrel and stock on it and it now shoots great with my handloads. I had the same issues you are describing before...
