    Arrow trajectory

Ontarget is what I use. It will be pretty close. On my sigh tapes it is spot on with my sliders and target sights.

    C.D.S dials

The ones that came with mine are not plastic and have markings on the side. Which VX6 do you have, I think all but one comes stock with the CDS system.

    Anybody have this quiver issue?

When you say the hardware does not match with Hoyt what is the problem? Does it not clear the TEC Riser? If that is the problem most company's have a adapter for this problem. The standard quiver mount is mounted to the sight has a standard hole spacing and screw specs. If it is a riser mounted...

    starter bow for kids

Look like a genisis bow will go for around $150-170 depending on color. At our club we use goldtip lightning arrows, they fly nice and are very durable. The national archery in the schools program only allows the genesis in there program. Nice thing about the genesis is no accessories are...

    starter bow for kids

Most of the adjustable youth bows on the market will have a minimum poundage at 26" over what you are needing. The ruckus with 35# limbs would fit your requirements. What are you planning to do with this bow? 26" DL would put them on average in the 5'6"-5'7" range. Being a certified NFAA...

what scope is best for a .243

I mounted a Leupold VX-3 4.5-14 on my sons weatherby in .243win. He had ever had problems on close targets and more than enough to reach out in the 600+ on small game. Our club has a 15x max on the sporter class for shoots, the Leupold max is over 14x but under 15x on specs. Most scopes in the...

    Broadhead that flies strait?

I would also utilize Easton's Bow Tuning Guide. Pay attention to broad head Tuning. Easton Bow Tuning Guide is considered the archery bible.

Leupold Vari X II with Target/M1 turrets

If you are interested In the Leupold VX2, the 6-18x40 CDS would need a look. I have one on a rimfire. The CDS turret is just a hair taller than standard turret. They come standard on CDS models so no $90 upgrade. CDS models come with standard windage turret and CDS for elevation. One calibrated...

    Long Range Bow Tuning

I have always trusted bare shaft tuning for nock elevation and walk back tuning for windage. Once I get bare shaft perfect at 10 yds I will work back in 10 yard increasements out to 40 refining adjustments. Walk back tuning will be dependent upon the length of the range but 60 yards I find is...

    archery turkey

We either use steel blunts or smaller fixed blades and shoot for the head. The kids in the mentor program have had no problem taking turkeys with this method. The head is a larger target than vitals, no wounding, even a grazing shot with blunts will end it right then. Best part is no wounded birds.

45 degree rail for secondary optic?

Do you keep both eyes open when shooting? I have had no problems coming on target and tracking animals at close range in timber with scopes up to 15x. When I have forced myself to close non dominate eye I struggle to even come on target.

    problems with bergers

My son and I both use Berger hunting VLD's. mine in a 257WBY 115 (3240) and his 243win 95g (2608 fps). With the Weatherby I have never had a exit wound, closest shot was 12 yards longest was 470. In every case the bullet entered and exploded in the cavity. Very minimal meat damage in every...

need som help with leupold vxIII

The price will depend on what turrets you want to have installed. If I remember right they are in the $85 range per turret. Just contact Leupolds 800 number and tell them what you want to do, they will send you to the right area. I think it is the custom shop. You can also get on Leupolds web...
