    7mm Elk Bullets- Berger Alternates

Of course I don't plan on shooting an Elk at much past 500 yds but I've found the regular accubonds work better than the ABLRs They penetrate and hold together! My favorite in my 7mm Rem Mag. is the 160gr. at about 2900 fps. My longest kill with this bullet has been 332yrds. so take it for what...

    243 or 6mm reminton

Yes I used IMR 4064 in my previous 6mm Rem. with good results. I just wanted to use the new wave powders for the copper fouling and the temp. stable benefits

    243 or 6mm reminton

Just picked up a Rem. 722 in 244 Rem. at an auction a couple of weeks ago. I owned a 6mm Rem when I lived in South Dakota years ago I killed several antelope, a couple mule deer and quite a few coyotes with this 6mm and I still had several boxes of brass but must have let my dies go with the...

    Beginner-Mountain Goat Hunting

I know that Wy. has terrible odds for Residents! I've given up on drawing as this would be my 37th year of trying and my legs aren't up to it anymore! Non Residents have a little better odds!

    6.5mm 150g ABLR.

Like to know how that bullet worked on a Red Stag! I shot a big Aoudad Ram a couple of winters ago with a 7mm Rem. Mag. loaded with the 168 gr. ABLR at about 200 yds. broadside and it didn't penetrate clear through! I prefer the regular Accubonds!

    Welcome from Eastern Wyoming!

Alberta wolf with the 6.5 PRC

Where I live in Wyoming we can kill them as predators with no license, but there are only a few that travel through! I keep a AR 6 mm ARC in my truck just in case! I sure would like a wolf rug! Been trying to find some of the new Hornady 80 gr. VT Bullets to load for Predators!

    Reloader 26/Short Barrels

I've always went by the 30-35 fps per inch rule and found that is usually pretty close!

    What’s your spookiest hunting experience?

I was bow hunting for Elk and Mulies up on the Continental Divide just north of the Colorado border. The mountain I was on was pretty flat and I hiked about a 1/2 mile to a big stand of spruce on the side of this mountain as I knew there was a spring in the middle of this stand of spruce and I...

    New Garmin vs Magneto

I'm looking at getting a Garmin about $500

    Premium 22LR Rifles

They probably are not as fancy as you want but I have a CZ 451 and it is a tack driver at 50 yds with ammo it likes and it has a nice Turkish walnut stock and a bonus is it's a switch barrel! I also have a 17 HMR barrel for mine and I can switch them without resighting!

    2024 tags already here

Congratulations you must be lucky or it's easy to draw in Idaho. We here in Wyoming haven't put in yet! Bear, Mnt. Lion, and Turkey are pretty much over the counter and where I live Wolves are predators and can be taken without a license like coyotes. And I don't have to ever buy another...

    Thoughts on antler restrictions

Here in Wyoming I like these restrictions on Mule Deer but don't think they'd do any good on Whitetail! My family has hunted a General Area that has had a 3 point or better restriction on Mulies for about 5 years and I feel the trophy quality has improved! Sadly the G&F doesn't agree and removed...

How far out will you kill an elk by yourself?

I'm almost 70 with a bad knee and hip and my theory now a days is if I can't get my 4 wheeler or pickup close I don't kill! I always carry 300yrds. of good climbing rope and have used it quite a bit lately! When I was young I had several 3-4 mile pack outs in rough country and I feel this is...
