Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

I received the rifle yesterday. It was covered in very light surface rust that finally wiped off with gun oil and a little elbow grease. Ordering a z6 swarovski scope and will go to the range in the next few weeks. This rifle looks good and I'm glad to get it back. Hopefully it shoots.

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

Update: Well my phone rang this morning and it was a Stevensville, MT number so I had a pretty good idea of who it was. A guy named Adam who was very nice and courteous, explained that they added a new barrel and re-bedded the stock and that it is shooting within their specs...

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

Mike Hutchins is the guy I spoke to for 2 weeks and did absolutely nothing. I had to call the owner of the company in Connecticut to get things done.

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

Daily update: I called Cooper this morning and someone new answered the phone. After I explained my whole story she said that I needed to get in touch with Mike, director of manufacturing. I explained that I have talked to Mike for the last two weeks and absolutely nothing has been done and...

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

I called Cooper at lunch today because it had been 24 hrs and I still had not received an email of available rifles from them. The girl that answered was not the normal woman who answers, and she was actually very nice. I explained that I was waiting on a list of available rifles to choose...

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

I called Cooper again today (8/16) and spoke to the director. I asked what the status of the rifle was and he said that he looked at it through the bore scope and saw that the lands were not symmetrical. I am no gunsmith but I would assume this would be one of the first things one would check...

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

Quick update. The last time I spoke with Mike at Cooper was Wednesday (8/10/16) and he said he would get the status of my rifle and either send it back to me repaired or see what rifles that had in inventory as another option. Well I didn't heard from him for the rest of the week so I...

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

A few people have said that as well, which I am beginning to think may be the case. How can a rifle take longer to fix than it originally took to build? You would think they would be bending over backwards to make this right, but I have yet to see that from them.

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

I called back again and they tried to transfer me to a technician but I insisted on talking to the boss, Director of something. He was pretty understanding but said some questionable things. He said they tried 3-4 barrels on the gun but could not get it to shoot. Also he said they have had...

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

I called on Monday and asked to speak to the head person there. I was transferred to their line and left a voicemail. Its Wednesday, and no response. I just called again and left another voicemail. Curious to see how long this will take. I'm getting tired of this and have a trip planned...

Sent in rifle for service one year ago - still working on it

I am currently on my third Cooper rifle. The first two rifles were flawless and I experienced great customer service anytime I called with questions. I love the company and have bragged about their rifles to friends and family. However, I am getting frustrated with their service and I am no...

What is causing my groups to do this?

It seems the first 2 shots are touching and the 3rd shot is randomly .75" away. I measured all 5 groups with calipers.

What is causing my groups to do this?

I think this may be a possible issue as well because I would shoot 3 consecutive shots and then wait, but after the 3rd shot, the barrel was pretty warm. The barrel contour is just a non-magnum contour, although fluted, is not thick at all. I just made some loads going up .2 & .4 grains...
