6.5 Creedmoor is great, I own one, but for my money 7 mm-08 all the way. I find the 6.5 recoil at least as much as the 7 and I like the bigger bullet diameter

I think you'll love the Sierra's it's a great bullet for deer.

I'd stay very well clear of the Christensen, I have a new Ridgeline in 300 PRC, my nephew bought a new Mesa in 300 Win Mag. Both going back to Christensen for warranty work. Best group at 100 yards 4 inches. Hope they get it figured out.

Sounds like my experience exactly with a 300 win mag Mesa. The dealer was great to work with it's going back to Christensen. I started at.20000 off the lands all the way to.60. I could get it to around 2750 fps with a 180 scirocco

That depends more on how far away you can reliably make a good shot than the actual lethality of the bullet.

I've been using the Scirocco for the last six years, I've never used anything that performs nearly as well, great expansion yet retain most of their weight, have not had one fail. .
