dont have any real good pics and none of bullet hole. but berger did great complete pass through. didnt have a real good spot to take pics cause he was on side of cliff so i snapped a few and then when i pulled horns away from tree..... away he went, rolled about 100 yards until another tree...
just wanted to get back with yall. i havnt been on in awhile but i got that baby shooting... 92.3 gr of retumbo at mag lenghth with fed 215 primers pushing a 168 gr berger. and it will consistently shoot under 1/2 moa. best yet was a 3 shot group at 700 that measured .880 inches.... i screamed...
bought a pound of retumbo this morning will b loading some up tomarrow and shooting away the next decent day we have here in north texas..... WISH ME LUCK!!!!
Yes I have had a friend that travels all over the u.s shooting in competitions shoot it and it was the same but I have thought seriously about getting a brake put on... But all in all I don't notice recoil til I'm headed home from range after shootn 10 or more
Yea I'm aware of that. But once I get the right combination it will only b shot mayb 5 times before elk season and hopefully 1 during so if I get a decent load worked up pretty quick the gun will have years of life left
I haven't had it long enough to b sure... Total round count down tube ain't but mayb 70 now.... Iv heard of people having pretty good luck with retumbo... Opinion?
Yes it's the only one I've tried... I was reli hoping to get it shooting this one well ( under 1 moa) that would b fine with me i run across a deal on berger 168 gr vlds and bought 3 boxs in .284 and this gun is the only 7 i own. all I'm going to use it for I elk hunting
