Thanks for that, I didn’t realise that,

Pros and Cons of the Remington Sendero

Yes mine goes on for about a month ! If I use the Stoney point tool to measure Ogive, the bullet just ends up outside the case. The Original barrel was almost the same. However the Rifle is very accurate and at least you won’t have bullet induced pressure issues by seating then into the lands as...

Pros and Cons of the Remington Sendero

Hi Jacob, I have a 270 Win Sendero, I bought the Rifle new in 1995, probably my best Rifle investment. Extremely accurate. Originally I only adjusted the Trigger and I had the action bedded. As the recoil pocket in the stock was a little wide. I’ve taken maybe a Hundred Deer with it over the...

    New press opinions

Well, you haven’t bought anything from them in 30 years. They have upgraded a great deal in recent years. Their Classic Cast Press is a cast iron monster. A beautiful heavy press, their Classic cast Turret press is the same, just solid. I have to add, I’ve never ever had any issues with their...

    Thoughts on Lothar Walther?

I had my Remington 700 Sendero rebarrelled with a Walther Lothar barrel by my Gunsmith. It was a pre fit pre chambered in 270 Win. Which was the Sendero’s original Chambering. He re blued the action, added an oversize recoil lug, bedded the action. Added a one piece 20 MOA rail mount. Steel...

    Case head separation.

Hi, Get a set of Redding Competition Shell holders, follow the instructions which allow you to full length resize to the headspace dimension for your chamber. In other words sizing to the minimum, where the bolt just closes on the round.Thereby when so sized the brass can only stretch so far...

    New to reloading question.

The Maximum load which you are using is safe. You haven’t exceeded published maximum loads. The saying ‘all else being equal’ applies here. Once the brass isn’t exhibiting pressure signs all is good. Once you show some of the guys here your photos of the case heads. Rest easy, I predict that...

    Need new glass... Zeiss? Leupold?

I have one on a pro hunter in 30/06, I zeroed it 15 years ago and I have never ever had to touch the turrets. You can’t say that for most Scopes. They are as good if not better than Smith& Bender or Zeiss. They are the oldest Scope maker in Europe. You can’t go wrong with one of them.

    Long range mule deer rifle

What’s wrong with keeping it to 30/06? Just put a longer Barrel on it, you’ll take Mule Deer without a hitch at long ranges. Look at heavy weight bullets 180, 215 Nosler etc.

What is your reloading process from start to bang!

Actually that actually that 300 meter group is just under half an inch.

What is your reloading process from start to bang!

The Brass is excellent, I just do it, to keep things consistent. On new brass it probably makes no difference.

Lets Discuss “Range Etiquette” for a moment!

Well, I think we are a more friendly group wereI shoot, we always try to help others out, and discussing Scopes and Rifles and do fourth is quite normal to us.Just not when your actually testing loads though. If someone is having issues zeroing a Rifle, one of us will certainly help achieve...

What is your reloading process from start to bang!

If using new Brass, Lapua brass, Full length resized using Redding Competition shellholders, to bump the shoulder back .002. Flash hole Debur, Recut the primer pockets, Trim to length, Prime using Benchrest Primers, Seat the bullet .10 off the lands. Once fireformed, Use a Lee neck Collet due...
