    Help with velocity numbers

It appears to me that you are changing the one variable that you can measure, velocity. The whole reason for having a chrono is to measure velocity so it is not a variable anymore. There are a lot of things going on and I suspect that you may have several small things. BC does change over...

Help me understand the importance of measuring velocity for reloading.

Without a chronograph you do not know your velocity. Without knowing your velocity your ballistic app will not give you accurate solutions. It really is that simple.

    300 WSM loose Bullets

Pull the expander button out of the die and size a dummy case. Measure the OD. Are you lubing the inside of the cases before sizing? If not do so and try again with a dummy case. Don't worry you have not ruined the cases. The seating die does not set up like a sizing die you don't screw it...

    300 WSM loose Bullets

I hope you have a good set of calipers? One of the most important tools in reloading. Check a sized case to see if a bullet will slide in the case? also try seating a bullet partially and see if it is loose. If not then you might have your seating die set too deep into the press. Happy...

    Savage bottom bolt release conversion

If you convert the action to top bolt release you want to order the stock with top bolt release. There is a relief cut for the top bolt release on the right side of the action inlet that you will need. I went with a Jard trigger and did away with the accu-trigger.

    Help me pick a pistol…….again!

Fusion Arms has a long slide (6") 10mm that is a nice 1911 for the money.

consistent measurement with Hornaday case length comparator.

One trick I have learned is to take a deburring tool and lightly chamfer the comparator. It will increase consistency by a lot.

    This kinda sucks….

I would argue that you need a little time to yourself ever so often. There is nothing wrong with a little self care. Reloading was my happy place and so I never gave it up. Don't feel guilty for going off to your man cave and enjoying yourself for a couple of hours. Love your children as you...

    Rifle Cleaning Equipment Question

A good Rifle vise and a bore guide will make cleaning your rifle much easier. Dewey makes great products. I use Dewey rods and the pellet system sold by Brownells.

    New and looking to learn

Welcome from a bit East of you. Lots of good information Here. I would encourage you to try the Hammer bullets. I shoot the 160 HHT in my 270 WSM with 1/8 twist with amazing results.

    Software for reloading inventory

I personally would not keep any list of my reloading components on a computer. It is a big brother thing. Every key stroke you make is recorded some where.
