No particular reason really. I bought it more for hunting purposes at long range but I didn't care much for the weight. Other than that I love the gun. All I have done is zeroed it at 200 yards and i shot a 3 shot group that measured 1 1/8". And I'm a definite novice! So Its definitely capable...
