Most of the time rifles seem to eject cartridges after they've been fired. My Late 1970's rem 700 243 is ejecting them as I try to chamber them. It also fails engage the cartridge sometimes to push it forward........and of course if it does engage the cartridge....tie cartridge gets popped...

Does anyone have a M1 Garand load (30-06 not the 308 versions....mine is an original Springfield) that has consistently shot well for them? I've heard that the heavier bullets tend to do well with garands? Up to 200gr? any advice is appreciated Pat
