    Get the copper out!

    Pro Shot's solvent will do the same,and like you said no strong odors.

    Anyone handloading the Sierra 69gr. HPBT Match?

    Caldwell Rock BR. Rabbit ear rear bag. The scope was sent off to Sightron,and they verified it wouldn't track,or hold zero. They are sending a replacement (should arrive today). Mounts are Ken Farrell mounts. The reason we were pretty sure is was the scope is,we mounted it on a known to be...

    Anyone handloading the Sierra 69gr. HPBT Match?

    Thanks,Guy's for the info. My gun is shooting well,but I feel it could do better. Most of the shooting/load testing was done @100yds.and to be honest,it shoots a number of loads well,but when you go to 200yds. the results really change! So far the best load is 24.5grs of W748,in Win Cases,WSR...

    Anyone handloading the Sierra 69gr. HPBT Match?

    Have any of you got a good load with the 69gr HPBT match bullet? I've tried the manual loads,but feel there is something better out there. The bullet does fly well out of my Savage Long Range Percision Varminter in .223. I've tried Varget,and it seems as I have the only gun in the country that...

    using target knobs?

    I was shooting a few days ago,and adjusted the elevation knob to hit at longer ranges. When I returned the elevation knob to the zero mark,the gun was shooting low at 100yds (the orginal zero distance). Should you turn the knob past the zero mark,then back to zero? The Scope is a Sightron SIII...

    SAVAGE Rifles - who uses them

    Yeah,I've heard of a couple that didn't shoot well,and were sent back to Savage,then returned with a proof target,and list of what was done to the gun. They shot fine after being sent back. May have been a bad barrel? Ron

    I just got a Savage Long Range Precision Varminter,in .223 cal. The rifle is extreemly accurate,with the heavy bullets 55-70gr.

    SAVAGE Rifles - who uses them

    I've been shooting a new Savage Long Range Precision Varminter for about 2 weeks now,and to say I'm impressed with the gun would be an understatement! It's has the Target Accu Trigger (factory set at 8oz. will go down to two oz.) Mono Block bedding in a HS Precision stock,26inch long 1 inch...

    22/250 / .223 varmint calibre?

    I have a long range precision varmiter in .223 cal. Long shots aren't a problem,I use Sierra 69gr. Sierra HPBT-Match bullets. The gun is a great shooter. I haven't got to really strech it out yet,but have no doubt it will perform well at 500,and farther. It's not how fast you get there,but...

    I'm new to the forum,so I hope this question is in the right area. I just picked up a Savage Long Range Precision Varminter Rifle.I'm wanting to shoot 69gr. bullets in it. I've reloaded for over 30yrs. but mostly 223,and 22-250's with light bullets. Any information on loading the "Heavier...
