I use Ramshot Magnum in my 338 RUM with excellent results.

I wouldn't be without it, you can customize it to your brass, like max fill capacity with water, and use real info to get your loads right where you want them. It's well worth it in my opinion

Use a muzzle break, and use good recoil pads. And shoot 10 or so ends at a time till you get used to it.

I have the frankford arsenal wet tumbler also, I can do 1000 or so 223 in it, I don't load by the peace, I go by weight, so I don't exceed what it recommends, wished I'd known about this years ago, I'll never go back to dry tumbling again.

Why even mess with H1000, I have some and tried it, it was way too inconsistent, I switched to Ramshot Magnum and never looked back, it works great in all my Magnum calibers, 338 RUM, 300 WIN, 7MMS Rem Mag. If a powder gives you that much variances between lots, don't use it, just my opinion.

I use Ramshot Magnum for our 7mm mag, 300 mag, 338 rum, with excellent results, temp stable, and meters extremely well.

I had the same problem, what that tech support told me was to set it at 12 inches and set your barrel anywhere from 8 to 12 inches from it and to place the unit slightly in front of the barrel.

I have had this program for years, it's very accurate and it has helped me with working up loads for hunting. Well worth in my opinion.

I have a custom 338 RUM, 30 inch finished barrel, I just love it.
