    California hog hunting

Whether guided or not, the cost to hunt or fish will always be more than going to a grocery store after you factor in licenses, guns/ammo/rods/reals/bait/transportation, and processing.

Favorite gun and cartridge for hogs?

How is the noise and flash at night with that short, braked barrel?

Smith and Wesson Performance Center 44 Mag Hunter has 2 SA cocking points!!!?????I

Lemons in every product line. I had to return a Ruger SBH that had the trigger pull of a DA revolver. Ruger did provide a prepaid shipping label and kept in constant email contact concerning arrival, work and return shipping.

What to do with the 10mm......

The heaviest hard cast that I can find for the 10mm from my usual suppliers is a gas-checked 200 gr from Montana Bullet Works with a 22 BHN.

Looking for a holster (leather) for my XVR 460 14" barrel, scoped.

Bob no longer owns Mernickle Leather. Last I heard he was still advising or something like that, but the business is under new ownership.

Looking for a holster (leather) for my XVR 460 14" barrel, scoped.

I've never had dealings with him, but Michigan Rattler Leather comes highly recommended from shooters in that area for competition level leather work.

Looking for a holster (leather) for my XVR 460 14" barrel, scoped.

If you happen to know any Cowboy Action Shooters, there may be a leather maker in your area that will take on the project. They will probably need your revolver though to mold the leather around.

Looking for a holster (leather) for my XVR 460 14" barrel, scoped.

It's tame because it weighs a TON! :D I actually feel the 8 3/8 inch barrel is quite easy to shoot - off a bench or sticks. Not so much offhand except for the first shot due to the weight.

I have the 8 3/8". It's a beast itself. They make one for it.

Looking for a holster (leather) for my XVR 460 14" barrel, scoped.

Not leather, but I just received a chest holster from Gunfighters Inc. - the Kenai. It has a kydex shell with three attachment points for a nylon harness (I think it's nylon). Holds a Ruger SBH comfortably but I admittedly haven't really gone trekking with it. Sorry, but can't attach links...

    Consumer grade torque wrench

I picked up the Wheeler FAT Wrench. It feels much more substantial than it looks. There was a small issue - it doesn't come with T-25 Torx bit. It's really ok as I have a nice selection of hardened Torx bits. Mounted a scope on one rifle earlier and will mount another this evening or...

    Consumer grade torque wrench

Thank you all for your recommendations. I do like the appearance of the Fix It Sticks products - but they are pricey and I question the amount of use I will get out of them. The CDI torque screwdriver also looks like a high quality product - again, it should be for the price IMHO. I'm going...

Pellet rifle for hunting rabbits and woodchucks to 50 yards?

I was headed down this road and finally decided on a Savage MK II FV-SR. Firing CCI 22 CB Long 29 grain LRN ammo, it's silly quiet. Not sure exactly how accurate as I just received the scope rings yesterday. This purchase has made me really start looking for a high quality .22LR bolt rifle.

    Consumer grade torque wrench

Can I get a recommendation for a quality, reliable torque wrench for use in mounting scopes and action screws? Consumer grade - not Harbor Freight. Thank you.

Favorite gun and cartridge for hogs?

I'd like to find one of the older Marlin 444's with pistol grip stock for a reasonable price. The few locally that I've seen advertised must have had silver or gold inside of them for the prices being asked.
