    Tripod?

    Good luck. I have played around with quite a few different high end tripod setups and IMO none have been as good as prone. I am not saying they dont work, but in order to get even close to prone I had to be in the 6lb plus setup and I am not willing to pack that much extra weight.

    I try to buy based on caliber. 6mm and 6.5 I buy Hawkhill or Brux. I like Broughton for 30cals. And I like Shilen for 22 cals. Shilens have been known for 22 barrels that like to run fast. If our a 222 guy you probably like speed so I would Look at them. But really its hard to go wrong with any...

    Currently running 2 March 2.5-25x52 and love them. The only downside to them is FOV at 25 power. I believe the 42 would be even less FOV. Also have heard the eyebox is finicky on the 42. For those reasons I would suggest the 52.

    been seeing some dudes putting weights out there with no bolt, magazine, or rail on gun. I think that's a bit misleading so here is both for comparison
