Thanks peashooter & gamehawker. I want to try and shoot the 225 gn. NAB. I've seen pictures off deer shot with the 300 gn. SMK and all I can say is Lord have mercy. If I draw an elk tag I might move up. I posted a ??? in the reloading forum you might can help me with. Thanks Daryl

Got to shoot my new 338-300 ultra last saturday. Kevin at MCR built it . Looks great ! I only got to shoot it 4 times once to get it on paper then a three shot group. You can almost cover with a quarter. I thought it was pretty good for first group. Starting low and working up a load...

Mine range from 2.8275 To 2.8315 with most around 2.830 . Think i'll go 2.827 for the first firing. I saw one post where LTLR trims to 2.820. I belive thats right. Thanks for the reply's Ramp

Dont you wish you could shoot like that all the time. We have a monthly fun match at the club. It's only 200 yd's prone. I've only been shooting in it about one year. Never shot prone before but its lots of fun. I've deer hunted all my life. Kinda hard to get prone 20 foot up in a tree...
