My dpms has always been a shooter with the hornady frontier soft points and the HP. Shoots them well enough I haven’t bothered with 53gr vmax yet.

Another thing to keep in mind, at least seems to be the case in my area is what is everyone else using. Foxpros and primos are what is in the shelf in my area. So everyone has them. I feel I started doing better when I sold my foxpro and ordered a lucky duck online.
