That’s a a hot load from my loading experience, my max load is 39.5 grains H4350 with the 140 RDF and 39.0 with the 144 LRHT… I have pushed it to that
great info! I agree, Loads above 39.0 grains are compressed with H4350 and 140 grain RDF and approaching if not exceeding 60k PSI
That’s a a hot load from my loading experience, my max load is 39.5 grains H4350 with the 140 RDF and 39.0 with the 144 LRHT… I have pushed it to that 41 grains but it’s not a wet weather safe load from what I have experienced in 6 different barrels.
Good news is there’s a lot of options. Things to consider, how will you attach it to your rifle. Height you are comfortable shooting prone at. Cost, weight. Durability and versatility. I have tried them all. They are not all the same as some have suggested. I have settled on two models. One...
Does it really help when you have a barrel that doesn’t shoot tho?? Sounds like a lot of work. If the barrel doesn’t shoot right off and contini to shoot for 300 rounds or so then just some normal cleaning with patches to keep carbon build up at bay… it’s a garbage barrel imo or a poor chamber...
What velocities are those? I have shot a few thousand rounds with 195 and 190 bergers. They basically are identical. Same charge and seating die settings. I think the 190s may be more consistent at all velocities I have experience with. I have 22”-30” barrels and have only loaded and shot...
Because shooting 30 rounds at 100 yards is stupid boring. Why do it? Here’s a 30 round challenge for you. Come to my range in Bend Oregon with your most accurate gun. Shoot two shots at at 15 different 1 MOA targets all at different ranges and azimuth … how many impacts out of 30 will you get?
What is interesting is that if someone wants to shoot at greater distance they need to first understand that MOA and MRAD have nothing to do with inches or centimeters beyond 100 yards or 100 Meters. Respectively. Neither system was created to work with either imperial or metric they work the...
So, there’s objective and subjective ways to measure an optics performance. Gathering light is only part of the equation and has a lot to do with objective size. How the light is transmitted through the optic has to do with quality of the lenses. Swarovski and ZCO both use quality lenses. So...
My best friend and life long hunting buddy died august 8 this year. 56 and was working out in his home gym, his heart stopped as he told his wife “I love you”…. Every moment we have is a gift.
