thanks for the responses, I will try H1000 and/or Retumbo and see what happens. If I can't get it to shoot I will just stick with the Berger 140s and be careful with shot selection.

I am only getting 2760fps out of a 24" 6.5x284. 52g of H4831sc.... how are you guys all getting 3k+? Retumbo? Longer barrel? I love the accuracy i get with this load .25-.5 moa but would like more speed/energy.

I am shooting the same cooper m52. My best (most accurate) load has been 51.5g of H4831sc with a 140g Berger vld hunting. Seated .020 off the lands. only getting 2750fps but groups are .25 moa out to 400 and .50 moa out to 1k. I would like to see some more speed without losing accuracy...

I also shoot a Cooper in 6.5x284 with a 140g berger Vld hunting. Can't be any happier.

James, that's why I'm holding on to it until I get to use the Razor some. I'm not sure if I will like the extra size/weight on a hunting rifle. I have a feeling the 6-24x50 PST may be where I end up. If I do decide to sell I will let you know.

I just bought the 5-20x50 Vortex Razor HD. Mounted it today so I haven't used it yet. I moved up from the 4-16x50 Vortex pst moa ebr-1. I may be interested in selling the pst. Love the PST but wanted more power and went with the razor for better glass. They PST gives you a lot for the $$

I am not surprised that the factory ammo shot 1"+ thats about the norm. If I were you I would try different bullets first.
