"long range" scope challenge. What do you use

1.) if You pay twice because You have bought a not-so-well item You pay double, so the best money to quality ratio is to go straight to number 2. 2.) Swarovski Z6i 3-18x50 or Z6i 5-30x50 both in any case with the Ballistic Turrent That would be my choice for anything serious... Klaus

    Leica Reticles for ER Riflescope

I have seen those scopes on the IWA: forget them they are pricy and not worth taking! Swarovski has Z6 zoom, illuminated reticle, SR-rail and more benefits. These Leicas looked and felt cheap from quality - not usual for Leica quality also they have not illumination, no rails and so: WHY???

New Swarovski SLC's vs Older model ??

This one: SLC 15x56 WB - 60 Jahre Edition - Titanium Gunworks on the German website it says that there is an LED-Sight inclusive in the price. The regular price in Germany is 1970 € ! (outside Europe You could don´t have to pay the VAT which is another 19%)

    Leica Or Zeiss

That matches with my experience! but if I had to choose between Leica and Zeiss, definetlyy the Leica! (ever had a service at Zeiss? -> never again!)

New Swarovski SLC's vs Older model ??

There are special deals at the moment on the SLC 15x56: The 15x of course is a very specialized bino, in generla use, I would definetly rate and take an EL bino - it has the better optics, wider field of view and is more comfortable to use - I love mine!

    Scope Opinions Needed

Hi Seven Oaks, If You want to have a real good scope for night hunting, You should have a look at the Swarovski Z6i scopes! I am living in Germany and about 85% of my hunting is night hunting on pigs without artificial light (art. light is against the law) - so the best scope is essential...

    Sleeping Bag ???

I am satisfied for more then 15 years now with my 2 Western Mountaineering Sleeping Bags - they are more then superb! Take the Gore Dryloft edition to prevent the down getting wet from outside - the only disadvantage is for You maybe, that they are most narrow cut... I will always buy them again!

    Lightweight scope recomedations

for sure, but I need the big objective diameter for light gathering as I go hunting pigs during night with this gun as well... And I have the advantage of having 12x power (If I would buy again, the new Z6i 2,5-15x44 or 3-18x50 would be my choice I guess) So of course the scope is adding...

    Lightweight scope recomedations

Yep a PV-N 3-12x50 - so 50mm glasses. Oh yes, they are brilliant. The high prices stops me from buying more, but... new ideas are coming up... By the way: have You seen the latest Swarovski´s ? Z6i 2,5-15x44 or 3-18x50 ??? With BallisticTurrent and HD lenses??? Just the HD lenses are...

    Lightweight scope recomedations

Life is too short for not having the best gear You could buy... ... the scope alone is 2000 US worth... and I don´t regret any part of this project: I could shoot during night without artificial light (against the law) (pig hunting here) just from the light reflection of the clouds most times...

    Lightweight scope recomedations

Yep, but just the "bridge" - plus about 400 US the adaptors...

    Lightweight scope recomedations

I have a Swarovski PV-N 3-12x50 on my lightweight rifle - and it is mounted with a scopemount, made from Titanium... works superb and whole rifle weights just 3,1 kg with everything. Rem 700 Titanium in .30-06 Titan-Montagen - Titanium Gunworks

Well, the main thing is that they use now HD lenses, which result in acrisper and brighter image. I have compared one 2 weeks ago and it is a good improvement! Second thing is, that they improved the rangefinder a bit for longer range meassurements... Here are more informations: Geovid...
