.30 Gibbs Brass and Dies for Sale

I am selling 100 rounds of .30 cal Gibbs brass. I ordered these from Quality Cartridge and then found that my gun was actually a 30.06. I also have the, unused, Redding .30 Gibbs dies. I am asking $195.00 for the brass and $165.00 for the dies. Shipping will be determined after the sale. If any...

    .30 Gibbs

I would like to hear from others to see if everyone agrees. Please, other people on this forum, let me know if you agree with Feenix. I have been bamboozeled and am a complete idiot.

Why do you say I have been misled and lied to? You are always negative. I am dealing with reputable people with 40+ years of experience. They have the gun and say one thing and you say another and have never seen the weapon.

.30 GIBBS is finally ready ...

I sent my .30 Gibbs to a gunsmith in Colorado, because the engraving on the barrel that said 30 Gibbs, was under the stock and could not be read without taking the gun apart. This is an absolutely fabulous custom gun and that just didn't make sense. Well...It is not a .30 Gibbs, it's a 30.06...

    .30 Gibbs

We haven't talked that over yet. He hasn't started working on the rifle...it's in the safe, for now. We will have that conversation at a later date when he will ask me what I want to do. Shoot holes in paper, hunt a certain kind of game, etc. You have a .30 Gibbis...right? Do you have any input...

    .30 Gibbs

Here's an update on my 30 cal. Gibbs. Pete, at Quality Cartridge, has sent brass to Bob, at Colorado Custom Cartridge. I packed up my rifle and shipped it to Bob, who confirmed that this custom FN 30 Gibbs is one beautiful, and incredibly made, rifle. I just got off the phone with Bob and the...

So, now I have the brass and I have a lead on a company to load them. They specialize in obsolete ammunition. Spoke with the wife but not the gentleman who actually does the loading. They have a host of dies but don't have a .30 Gibbs so I will be investing in those, if we strike a deal. My next...

That was very helpful. I have purchased some brass. They had just finished a run and I have bought and paid for the brass. Now...I need dies. Do you know where I can purchase .30 Gibbs dies? Name brand, etc.? I don't want to wear out my welcome but, so far, you are batting a thousand.

So this is the brass that you fire formed? You are light years ahead of me. At this time, I am not reloading but that day may not be far off. Have found new brass at $5.51 each with a minimum order of 50. I'm hoping I can find someone who has .30 Gibbs for sale or...

    Black Chrome?

Yes. It is stamped on the barrel but had to remove the stock to see.

    Black Chrome?

I bought an old Custom FN rifle with a Mauser action earlier this week. I have never seen bluing like this gun has. It's deep black. I'm thinking it's black chrome. Anyone know of any 196-'s guns with black chrome?

Trying to determine what yeah my FN was made by its serial number but not having any luck. Easily done with my Brownings but not this custom FN. Any suggestions?

    .30 Gibbs

Yep..that did it. Impressive gun and i’m so surprised that you changed it to 30 caliber Gibbs. Your brass looks beautiful… You obviously know what you’re doing. You’ve given me a new Hope for my rifle. Time is the one thing I don’t have. I work all the time… Seven days a week 10 to 12 hours a...

    .30 Gibbs

That’s great information but I’m not a reloaded... we’ll not yet anyway. I’m in love with this rifle and I want to shoot it. I’m glad to hear that you like yours because it seems like most people think it’s a useless caliber. I know it hurts the value of the gun but I’m not looking to sell...
