Nice! Thanks for the reply. It shoots dead straight, so I think I have a winner. Shots on the right were my last 3 shot group. Made a few clicks and the pic on the left is my last shot. 3” high at 100 yards = 300 yard zero.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Based on your feedback regarding 500+ yard shots, I may have to give the 170gr Hammer bullets a try. I most likely won’t be taking a shot beyond 500 yards, but my scope is easy to dial in at 600 yards, so it’s definitely a possibility. Thanks again!

It’s my first .30 mag and I’m really happy with it. I highly recommend the Carbonmark rifle from Weatherby. I shoot maybe 10 rounds a year with my hunting rifles. The accuracy credit goes to the rifle. Very helpful reply. Thank you!

No question about that! I don’t plan on shooting this rifle any more than I need to. I will say though, with the accubreak it’s a pleasure to shoot. Kicks the same or less than my .270 Rem.

It is the regular AB. I don’t reload, so it’s all Weatherby factory ammo. I may also give the 170 gr Hammer a try.

I have a 300 Weatherby and when sighting it in I used the 180 gr Scirocco. My final 3 shot group ended up at .567" at 100 yards. I've had good luck with Nosler bullets in the past, but the 180 gr Accubond wasn't available when I sighted in my rifle. The Accubond has slightly better...

The idea behind it is to improve accuracy.

It's factory Weatherby ammo. I made them aware of the issue and they looked into the batch number and there were no known issues. It's just one of the rounds, so maybe just an outlier.

The scope is mounted, but I can close the bolt without issue when there's no ammo in the chamber. That's the first thing Weatherby asked me to check, :) .

It's possible, but I did clean it thoroughly when I got it, :). Anything is possible, though. I'll run the rod through it again. Thanks for the response.
