X-Bolt1 Max SPR 7PRC 20" heavier barrel profile and already cut for bipod rail for $700 right now.
Would be dang near perfect for me with 300 win short mag, their AICS style 5+1 "Plus" magazine and bottom plastic and their Recoil Hawg brake. Hopefully wont be long till we see some xbolt2's set...
You mean the magazine well slopiness in the aics rifles you had? I think that would be an issue with the rifle bottom metal design not the magazine spec right? Or are you saying that different aics mags from different brands have different specs?
I dont understand why they would use regular AICS magazines in their target rifles but a proprietary AICS style magazine in their hunting rifles. Does it save them from paying accuracy international $$ per gun or something??
also on the top browning proprietary aics style one thats on their xbolt2 deer guns, i like the shoulder retention piece that is supposed to reduce sd's from shot to shot
$2600 to get into an xbolt2 deer gun with aics style magazine and heavier barrel profile:oops::oops:come on man it doesnt even have an adjustable stock
the xbolt2 aics style bottom metal is all plastic too. I like how their mag well extends down to protect the magazine but i wish they would have used solid thick aluminum like bergara
I played with one of the xbolt1 target max rifles with the plastic bottom metal and plastic aics magazine the other day at bass pro. It was a hot mess. Something about the plastic magazine sliding in the plastic bottom metal mag well made it bind something fierce. I almost broke the top glass on...
Main thing I like about browning bolt guns is that they never fail to feed or extract. Maybe thats why they always use proprietary magazines to keep to keep other manufacture's magazines out of their guns that cause issues
