Where I live in SE MO. any glassing I do won't be long ranges actually but I figure they will help me spot deer in the edges of the woods that my old eyes normally miss. My son in law can spot the wiggle of an ear in the woods or wiggle of a tail that I never can see :D so if these will help me...

I received a pair of Nikon Monarch 5 ATB 8x42 binoculars for Christmas and was just wondering if anyone else has a pair and how do they perform for whitetail deer hunting? I noticed they say made in China and most scopes built there are considered junk. Thanks! :)

I don't hunt long range just shoot from the bench. The scope is in great condition with sun shade and lens covers used with Burris Signature rings with inserts so no ring marks has had little use. Might be willing to take different brand in 24x fixed power just make offer thanks! :)

Is it just me or, do these barrels on this particular rifle seem awful skinny for their caliber? What kind of accuracy for those that own this model any caliber, get? Thanks! :)
