Iam not shooting 10,000 rds a year . A Barrel every 10-12 years not a issue or 2 reloads on a brass case . Buy a 308 if you are into cost for a 30 cal. Long range hunting is the wrong forum for cheap and barrel life.

Awesome real shooting . Carlos H. Did it with no electronics and bad rifles. The modern BORS etc is not real shooting . Even flat shooting is dropping after 600 yds so much it's hard to hit and then you have to have the energy left to kill as well.

No you can't make a 308 win shoot 3800 fps but I can down load my 30-378 to shoot the same as a 308 win. Yes I can get 3800 fps out of my 30-378 weatherby with 168 gr bullets
