    Factory rifle vs custom build

I went through the same decision making process a couple years ago and went semi-custom first and then ended up going custom from Wolf Precision in PA. The semi-custom rifle shot well but the custom outshoots it hands down. The custom will take quality factory ammo and is under 1 MOA all day...

    22 Creedmoor load data

I cannot find 4350 in my area either and I am wondering if anyone has tried IMR 4064 or 4895? My preference would be 4350 but I have the others here. Thoughts? Thanks

Loss of Love for Leupold, New scope time.

I have a Zeiss Conquest V6 on 7mm Rem Mag and have shot a few hundred rounds through it with no problems.

Loss of Love for Leupold, New scope time.

Maven RS3 or Zeiss conquest V6. Both have very good glass and track well. I have both and actually dropped the rifle on the Maven and it held zero and no tracking problems after. Maven has more of a long distance reticle and if first focal plane. Zeiss is simpler reticle and second focal plane...

Looking for comments of the Maven RS3 5-30x50 scope

I am looking at the Maven RS3 5-30x50 scope for a 7mm rem mag that I use for hunting and long range shooting. I have a Vortex 6-24X50 HSLR on my 308 and that works well and is light enough that I can still carry the rifle around while out hunting. I have also looked at the Vortex Razor HD AMG...

Looking for my first semi-auto shotgun

I have the SX3, a Baretta A400 Xtreme, and the Beneli Super Vinci. Love the Baretta but that might be slightly out of the price range. I got mine on sale for $1100. It shoulders well after adjusting the stock and is easier on the shoulder than the Benelli. The SX3 shoots well but doesnt top the...

To clean your gun or not to clean your gun-thats my question

Like what others have said, I clean when accuracy starts to drop off, if I have been in harsh conditions or when changing loads. One thing I would suggest is good one piece rods and a guide. Also, if doing carbon and copper fouling make sure you are not mixing those solvents. Dry completely...

Need a new rifle -- Recommendations!

I have a B-14 Hunter is 7mm Rem mag and it shoots sub MOA. Took me a bit to dial in the right load but it’s great now. Bergara guarantees is and they are a great company from a customer service standpoint. It’s light enough for a mountain rifle. I looked around quite a bit and at Remington and...

Looking for my first semi-auto shotgun

I have shot Baretta Xtrema, Benelli Super Vinci, Remington Versamax and the Benelli SBE. They all shoot great but the Xtrema has the least punch of them all. It is still a good kick but it is softened a bit more than the others. I got the gun for my daughter but she didn't shoot it much and...

    New rifle recommendations

You might want to look at the Bergara B-14 series. Inexpensive and accurate out of the box. The trigger is around 3 pounds as well. I picked up a B-14 hunter in 7 mm Rem mag and it outshoits my model 70 easily. I think it’s a good rifle for the money.
