How many rounds down the Barrel?

I have a origin long action. Would I need a hunts longrange recoil lug to use this barrel? Also is it chambered for the 300prcaw2 or standard reamer? I was confused on the loaning out the reamer and headspace gauges.

We shoot them because they dig massive holes in your hay meadows and then eat all the hay along the edges of the fields. Seen many earth dams ruined and many fields dug up by them. Plus its just fun to do!

I agree with Pdog shooter and Magnummania, its the thicker brass reducing the volume and increasing pressure. Also Make sure you are wiping all the lube off from sizing. I have a 223 ackley that the slightest bit of lube will get the case stuck in the chamber after firing.

What Feenix said!! From my understanding this happens regardless of quality of scope. When the erector tube inside the scope is at its limits the lens cant focus as well through the scope center, hence you get lose image quality and get more distortion. On some scopes your tracking gets worse...

I think you would be better served if you put the barrel in the vise not the receiver. You can put way more pressure on the barrel. Something isnt right if you cant back the nut off with a standard savage wrench. I have put mine on to 80lbs and they come off quite easy.

I will repeat everybodys choice on the triggertech. Had one now for about 3 months and put a couple hundred rounds through my 284. I can confidently say its the best trigger ive ever used and have become a fan of the 2 stage!! Unbelievable!
