    Yeah, I see I must have been looking at the 250g's BC. Wow. It's impressive either way. Maybe one of these days I will have the time, money, help and opportunity to try my hand at it.

    Ok, mine is way different. A 250g swift at 2860 (factory Rem) is 789fpe at 1000 yards. With the MK 300g (BC of .587) at 2900 is still only 1600fpe at 1000 yards. Anyway, thanks for the info. Like I said, I'll never be concerned myself. I just started hearing about this ultra long range elk...

    I finally found a chart that goes that far or rather a calculator and I was looking at the 338RUM. It drops below 1500fpe at 650yds. I always thought 1500fpe was the minimum for elk. Like I said, just curious. 650yds is a long way for me. I can't do it. My dad could, though.

    Guys, I have to ask, what calibers are you using for 2000 yard elk hunting? The charts I have only go to 500yds max. My max is 300 yards on a no wind day so this is more out of curiousity than anything else.
