what can you tell me about the 25-06AI

Sorry, haven't run 100 grainers in my 25-06ai. I was running Nosler ballistic tips and 100 Barnes tsx and ttsx in the standard 25-06.

    25-06 loads ?

Retumbo and 110 accubond is good for 3300 in a 24" barrel. Used a 110 accubond in an ackley , started at 3500 for a 600+ yard Muley. Broke the onside shoulder and exited.

    Loads 25 06 100 GR Barnes TSX

Can't help with h1000 but rl22 will get you to 3400+ with nice accuracy too.

    .257 Barnes TSX loads for a 25-06

Yes 3400+ is achievable in a 24" barrel. I got there with rl22. RL 17 might do a tad better, but I haven't tried it in a standard 25-06. My boy killed his first buck this year with a 100 ttsx and it was a one shot drop affair at 315 yards. Was duly impressed by the amount of soup in the...

what can you tell me about the 25-06AI

Lifelong 25-06 fan. When it was time to rebarrel I almost went with a .280 ackley to move to the higher bc bullets. I went with the 25-06 ackley and 110 accubonds. With a 25.5" Lilja 3 groove I get 3500 fps with RL17 and consistently shoot 1 1/2" at 300 yards. I shot a mature Muley buck this...

    Which .300 Magnum and platform?

Thanks guys for all the replies. Let me get help the conversation by getting a little more specific. I am very much thinking of getting rid of my .338 ultramag . So this .300 magnum would replace it as my "Big" rifle. Also, I have no need for another competition rifle. This would be...

    Which .300 Magnum and platform?

Looking for advice on a mid weight (max 9.0 lbs all up) .300 Magnum. I want it all, a rifle that feeds and functions, is accurate, good for the dark timber or open sage, and doesn't kick the snot out of you without a muzzle brake. I have Remington and Sako preferences. Looking primarily at...

338 Cal 250 gr AB Range Report

225 bc check Has the b.c of the 225 AB @ .550 been verified? It is hard to believe that 25 grains of bullet weight only gains 25 points of b.c. in a similarly shaped projectile. Maybe the 225 b.c is a little optimistic.
