Just adding another option to this… For those that run a wrist coach or similar for their dope - my last hunt I laminated 3 different cards that were 2000’ of Density Altitude apart. Just a bit of extra comfort for some of the longer shots. We had a 3000’ DA shift from one day to the next...
I’ve had very good luck with the Lab Radar. Placement is important, and the trigger is a must if shooting suppressed, but all in all it’s been crazy accurate for me. Just don’t have a malinois puppy knock it off a chair and on to concrete. It doesn’t end well.
I run a Tremor 3 illuminated on a NF… there’s a very small window of light where I actually used the illumination, but it was nice during those few minutes. Glass on my buddy’s Mark 5 is fantastic
Those are flying! Great info - really appreciate it! You make a good point about the need to find alternative options. Will definitely start doing some homework on them. Very curious to see what their terminal performance looks like. Of curiosity, do you find their BC stays consistent thru...
I’m using ADG brass and H1000 with this combo. I actually have some loaded to 78.5 and 78.6 to see where we end up... On 3 barrels so far, the sweet spot for me has been in that 2960 - 2980 range. This current barrel is a 24" Bartlein Carbon. No bolt stick, but you can certainly see that's...
Having come over to the precision rifle side of shooting from a background in competitive pistol shooting, I’ve had a perhaps different path than many when it comes to rifle shooting. In doing so, I’ve become obsessed over the details and thought it would be great if there was a thread (or even...
Cool - thanks for the reply! Definitely interested to hear, and I don’t doubt the speed. I’m around 2950-2960 with the 215’s out of a 24” at 78.4. Barrel’s still speeding up tho so we’ll see if it starts bumping into the pressure category…
So much info to process!! :)
So I’ve seen some of Cortina’s videos where you can clearly tell carbon layers are embedded underneath (and over top) of copper layers. Are you removing the copper to get to the lower layers of carbon, or are you only attacking the carbon that is on top of the last...
