Jeff, I hunt both hills and flat ground. The flat ground is for pronghorn and there is usually a lot of sagebrush. I want to be able to range farther than I can shoot, about 700 is my max that I am comfortable with for game and shoot to 1100-1200 on targets.
Is the distance read out also...
You are right Jeff I was just looking at the PLRF10 and wow they are expinsive! I may have to look at other optins more within my budget.
Thanks again Adam
So I am red spectrum colorblind and cannot see the red reticles of many rangefinders unless it is fairly dark. My question is what is the best rangefinder that does not have a red reticle? Also if any other colorblind members have any tricks to see the reticles better?
Well I might be using the wrong terminology with barrel harmonics, so what I mean is. Do you think a 26 inch #3 contour would be a load development pain in the backside.
Yes, I was kinda thinking of a lighter weight rifle because I already have a heavier 7mm. I just didn't want to give up too much in velocity(I guess I want my cake and eat it to).
Thanks to all who replied. Any other thoughts are appreciated!
I'm thinking of possibly putting together a 6.5-06. So would a 26 inch barrel be best for velocity or would it be just fine with a 24 inch barrel? My goal would be to shoot 140 gr. bergers out of it. Also would there be any barrel harmonic problems with a #3 contour barrel at 26". Why I ask...
