    Best brass tumbler?

That FA is the one I use. It does fine and cleans brass for use. I don’t do pretty, shiny brass. Just run them long enough to get em clean, not pretty. Having said that, one of the best tumblers I have ever used is a diy model made using a Toyota Corolla wiper motor, small buckets and a couple...

    AMMO NOT IN STOCK

I will put this out there as well. There are a lot of people who reload, who should not be reloading. The attached picture is of a loaded round that was given to a guy I know to shoot in a rifle he was going to use in a Western hunt he had coming up. He hadn’t looked at the rounds since he got...

    AMMO NOT IN STOCK

I don't even own any factory loaded ammo anymore, and as others said, would not give someone ammo for their rifle that I've loaded for mine, even though I'm very conservative on my reloads. I choose consistency over speed.

    Let see those deer rifles

Not exactly my deer rifle, but it’s what I used opening day due to not having my deer rifle tuned up. It weighs 24 lbs so it’s a stationary rig… lol

Is the 243 the best whitetail deer cartridge?

IMO a 243 is one of the finest cartridges ever created. I can load 87s to 100s in it for deer size game, or I can load 55 or 58’s in it to make Varmints live hard. And with the right twist, the bigger 115’s can be ran for even larger game. There is a video from Greybull Precision where a cow Elk...

    Rifle Weight

So the rifle in question the OP was about has been partially sold. At least the BA. And the stock is for sale as well. Stopped at a local shop today and found a Sako L61R Finnbear chambered in .270. The way I’m trading for the rifle, I’ll have $600 in it, which from looking at the prices of...

    Rifle Weight

I run 147’s in my match rifle with a 8 twist. I’m very pleased with their performance on steel out to 1100, which is as far as I’ve taken them.

    Rifle Weight

One farm I hunt here in KY has shots out to 800. However, around here, a long shot will be in the 600 range. The deer I took this past Saturday was 412. I’ve taken everyone’s advice and have the rifle up for sale, and will build a lighter rifle. I’m really gonna try and stay with 6.5 because I...

    Rifle Weight

I'm about in agreement with everyone about needing something lighter. However, I'm stubborn, so I'm gonna put it in my pack scabbard and lug it around a bit to see how it works. My hike in would be to one spot as I'm not in as big of country as people out west. I wouldn't be chasing animals to...

    Tennessee bound?

I realized that after I posted it...haha. I'll have to look into Strategic Edge, it's a little shorter drive, but not much. Several of us was down there in Oct. for the GAP Grind. Didn't really get to enjoy the range as it poured the rain on us pretty much all weekend. We have a range here at...

    Rifle Weight

Hunting here would be, at most, mile to mile and a half hike in and the same out.
