Check out the Badger FTE brake before you make a decision. I've got a JP tactical brake (Benny Cooley) on an AR and it kills recoil. JP's shop does good work as well.....but man that thing looks like an abortion. I wouldn't put it on my rifle....even if it cooked me dinner.

I'm pretty sure the XCR tactical and the 700P are using the same 5.5 contour factory barrels. The vanilla XCR's use a hunting taper barrel. The only difference is going to be the stock. In my opinion the HS precision factory stock sucks hard (I've got one and am speaking from experience) but...
