    338 Win mag

338 is a great deer round provided you are competent with the caliber. Here is a pic of a nice buck that my 338, my pal from Alaska used during the 2021 season in the Yoop.

    338 Win Mag loads

My 338 Win Mag was originally stocked with a Ramline stock with the solid plastic butt pad. I called it Subdural Hematoma as it made me see double after a session at the range. Sheared off 2 sets of rings until I added a brake and a laminate stock. It’s now a pleasure to shoot. I found R19 and...

    Scope for 270

Had the poster’s scope on my .270. Loved it. First shots I took to zero.

Buying and Shooting Ammo for the Brass

I buy IMI 5.56 and use the brass for my competition loads. Fully prepped I find it more consistent than Lake City and other brands. I like the instant fireforming aspect.

Loading for a possible early morning 4th of July range visit. Anyone else!?!?!

Been “exercising “ the Second on the 4th for a few years also. More fun than having a fifth on the 4th, and not being able to go forth on the 5th. ☹️

223 Rem where would you start?

CFE if you will be metering your loads production line style, Varget if you want consistency and accuracy all year long.

    Bullet choices for 270

I've used many weights and styles of bullets for the past 40 or so years in my M-77 Ruger .270. Since the introduction of Reloader 26 I've more or less settled on the 150 grain nobler partition or the Berger 150 grain hunting VLD, both with 61.0 grains of 26 and Win primers. Both over 3010 fps...

    Blackhorn 209

A bit off topic but does one need a special breachplug to use BH 209? I shoot a CVA inline with a standard plug.
