How about the 375ruger necked down to 7mm, otherwise known as the 7LRM? I’m pushing the 180VLD Hunting at 3145fps with 72.8gr of H1000, Fed215m, 28” barrel. Brass is readily available from Gunwerks. Extremely accurate 😎
I use Forster benchrest dies and Redding bushing dies. .002 neck tension and when seating the bullet I rotate the case 90 degrees several times while seating. I have pretty tight chambers and also turn the high side of my necks.
My hunting/target loads are less than .001" out. If any are higher than that I either use them for fliers or I simply move the bullet out with a puller and reseat it.
My original reply was 8. I would take that load and work on bullet seating depth. I don't know what cartridge, bullet combo you're using or what seating depth that #8 load is at.
We are referring to the "optimal charge weight" AKA ocw. The idea is to have 3 successive loads that are around 1% increments that shoot within 1 MOA of each other. You choose the middle load so you have a load 1% higher and 1% lower that have the same point of impact. That way a slight increase...
