it wasnt 6 moa i made a mistake typing that it was a difference of 10 clicks or 5 inches or 2.5moa at a distance of 200 yards

i have a new vortex viper hs lr and have been experiencing problems with my windage drifting. what i mean by that is i sighted my rifle in on a relatively calm day with little to no cross winds at 200 yards and zeroed my turret (this is the model that doesnt have the tactical windage turret)...

ps. the rifle grouped well through out the day with a few fliers here and there which may or may not have been me (it was very windy). im now hoping it was because the front action screw wasnt as tight as it should have been. thanks for all your help

the shots werent from a clean bore it was fouled from my last session at the range. and yes the verticle adjustment is in 1/2 min clicks it is a vortex viper VHS-4305-LR

yes you are correct the head wind did make things difficult to assess. it was gusting really hard. ill have to see where im at on a calmer day because ive really have had very good results with this rifle, when i do my part. i did just re-check the rifle and noticed my front action screw felt...

pss...all the action screws and scope mount screws are tight

hello everyone this may be a fairly long post so bear with me...where to start...2 days ago i had to remove my stock and scope for some general matientance and i expected my poi to shift as a result however today at the range at 200 yards i was 4.2 inches low which seemed like a pretty big shift...

some very good ideas thanks everyone ill have to start measuring it from now on as i dont have a measurement from when the rifle was new...thanks again
