    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

That's interesting, I was sure they were billet. Makes a lot more sense now though. I had to learn that lesson the hard way.

    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

No he wasn't sure what caused it, they're not laminated limbs so it's weird that it happened like it did.

    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

Alright, to close up the thread bowtech sent the limbs over to Chasin A Dream Outfitters and they did the limb swap for free because I was getting custom strings from them at the same time.

    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

That's been my experience so far. Also their current cam tuning system is the best on the market IMO

    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

Yep the update is that bowtech is covering the limbs and I'm paying for labor. Apparently they had to make new limbs for it but I should be shooting my bow again sometime next week.

    Duds anyone???

No real need to anneal I just like to anneal every loading of the brass. It takes every piece back to a set level of hardness/spring back. It makes sense to me that doing this will help get consistent neck tension from the first loading to the last loading of a piece of brass. Do you like to anneal?

    Duds anyone???

Yep, serious component shortage paired with being young and inexperienced led to a pretty stupid call. I have more respect for the potential catastrophes these days. I also didn't realize that the brass was already primed when I annealed them.

    Duds anyone???

I annealed a small batch of primed brass when I first started loading. One of these loads failed to go off and it scared the hell out of me. I've been very careful with my process ever since.

    New press opinions

+1 for the rcbs rebel press. Very solid and I've been able to load some very accurate 28 nosler hunting ammo with it, I also load 9mm and 223 with it. It's not fast for the latter 2 but it does them no problem and I find it to be very easy to bump shoulders on the 28. I got mine in a kit when I...

    Toughest optic

I'm not the guy with tons of experience to speak on this topic but I do have a couple of anecdotal experiences that I can share. First one is with an Athlon Ares ETR UHD 4.5-30x56mm, this scope lived on my 28 nosler and held zero after my rifle fell directly on top of it while leaned against a...

    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

I had a cheap diamond bow blow up on me when I was younger, the string peg on the cam just sheared off when I took a shot.

    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

This was the consensus on rokslide as well, it's currently at the shop and they're going to call bowtech on Tuesday. We'll see what bowtech has to say about it. I'd be very happy if they were just willing to replace the limbs and I pay for labor. I went to school with the son of the local shop...

    Bowtech Revolt X80 splintered limb

Got my first 80lb bow this year in the form of a revolt x80. Really was loving it until yesterday when one of the limbs decided to fail at full draw. Not super catastrophic or anything but I'm now questioning whether or not I want to keep this bow. Looking for experiences with 80lb bowtechs as...
