Toddc The bullets I show are from the elk and as I mentioned earlier I do think that the elk was dead and just didn't know it yet. There was internal damage for sure. I was still suprised there were such tiny exit wound and the amount of shots to put him down. The deer was a totally different...

Well **** I wish that I was having the same results as everyone else because they sure shoot good. Are most of you guys shooting high front shoulder? All of my shots have been made right behind the front shoulder, not taking out the shoulder (Maybe this is some of the problem?).

The deer complete pencel holes . Elk 3 out of 6 lost the jacket and the lead pensiled through the other 3 went straight through not lossing the the jacket. In all cases deer and elk small holes in and out.

No crono just guessing with what others say and I have verified my drop chart out to past 1000 yards and it seems to match very close with the listed velocity. My load consists of 99 grains of h-1000 with fed match primers.

The lungs looked way to good with good color. It seems like they where just pensiling through and not causing interal shock.

I have never shot the target bullet only the hunting vld and the bullets used on the elk where bought last year and the bullets for the deer where bought this year so it is not the same lot. Both cases had small enter and exit holes. I do wish I had taken pictures to share.
