    Gratuity/Tips for guided hunting

I don’t know … I think a guide only works a certain amount of days per season . I also consider I guide service as part of hospitality . People who work in hospitality get tips . Just my opinion . But the tips are based on service .

    Gratuity/Tips for guided hunting

So I just did this in Chama NM . I paid my guide 15% of the total cost of the hunt . I took that tip , multiplied by 25% and wrote a separate check for the waitstaff

7mm mag using Petersen Brass versus Nosler brass

So the results are excellent . I just got back from the range and the petersen brass shot extremely well . Bullet 145 HHT Powder : 67 gr of H1000 Neck tension .003 .020 off lands . .8” groupings . So the issue is I dropped the powder charge because that was suggested . As a result much...

7mm mag using Petersen Brass versus Nosler brass

Ok I’m off to the range today . I have 10 of the Petersen once fired brass . I have read a of these posts and I have slowed down the charge . So I’ll see how the grouping works . ( hopefully better ) There were no pressure signs When I shot this brass originally . But there was a...

7mm mag using Petersen Brass versus Nosler brass

Thanks for the info . You have to understand that hunting in New England is very different than hunting out west . At best we have 100 yard ranges . So honestly shooting at 800+ yards here is never talked about . 40 years of reloading yes ! Going from brass to brass is new to me . I’ve...

7mm mag using Petersen Brass versus Nosler brass

Yes I was aware of this .. it is pretty bizarre if you think about it though … As far as the velocities I was getting 3254, 3245, 3295, 3240 , 3256 This was out of the Petersen brass. The Nosler brass was essentially the same velocities . So I’ll retry and see what happens. Thanks Marc

7mm mag using Petersen Brass versus Nosler brass

Look ! I posted a question because I thought it was interesting . I’m sorry my reloading skills don’t match yours. You obviously are a master . Why can’t people just have a discussion rather than showing how great they are ? Just so you know … this reloading data that I posted are with...
