Elk - 670yds with a 300 PRC and Factory 212 ELDX Ammo. Killed several deer and elk over 500 also, but I do prefer to close the distance when possible.

Been carrying a S&W 629+ it is 7 shots in .357mag, with Buff Bore 180s. Hope that stops em but a 10mm has been in the back of my mind with the extra rounds.

I own 2 currently, Harris 9-13in adjustable with a quick release pick mount and spike feet, and a Spartan Javalin. Both are good for their intended purpose. I usually use a pack or shooting sticks if I can't prone out behind a bipod or need to get up above brush or sticks.

Utah Hunting Expo is going on now, If you can make it, it is the best place to try out and check out all of the best pack manufacturers. This year Kifaru, Kuiu, Exo, Eberle, Mystery Ranch and several others were there. Plus you can apply for the raffle tags!

I have never had one I hated... but a few had frustrating moments of load development or accuracy issues but they are all fun to shoot and I like to tinker so its all good. Out of all the rifles I have right now the least used one is my .270wsm but that will probably change when I get a new...

For the 6.5 CM I would run the 143 ELDX, out of the bullets you listed, great all around proven performer. If you went lighter I would try the 120 CX, 124 Hammer Hunter or 127 LRX. I have had good luck with those in the last few years out of my couple of 6.5 CMs.

Hard to say if you will see any real benefit. I have bedded a couple Savage rifles and have not seen any noticeable improvement in groups. As others mentioned I would follow the torque specs from Savage.
