Because when hunting on the windy prairie that .2 class bc vs .4 class BC makes a hit or a miss difference in 20mph wind at 5-600 yds. Very specific use application. Absolutely doable with a 55 .224 but easier with the higher BC.
I should add - I have a 1-9 20-250 pushing .204 55 bergers lr’s 3800. It’s a 380yd 6” diameter MPBR. Haven’t seen if it’s fur friendly yet - but supposedly is…
Well, I think it still has its place. Most my educated dogs hang up and sit down well out side of 400. I range and dial. When several dogs surprise you, in that hard to estimate range of 300-400, and you want to just hold fur and send it - I like having the flat shooters. I’ve done 88gn 223’s at...
If I do a 1.9 sight height. 3” MPBR ‘radius’. .49 bc at 3800. :
Roughly a 2” high at 100. 3” high at 200. 0” at 330. 3”low at 385.
A higher sight height like 2.75 will allow you push that curve out another 15yds.

Has about 150 down the tube. Shoots 3/4 with 53 vmax at 3400, or 3100 with 73 elds. Minute of a coyote.
I’ll take...
Like new Hatch Outwest 7-27 bipod. Mounts to pic rail. 19 oz. Fully articulating and very stable in a seated position for being very lightweight. Amazing bipod, but I’ve gone the tripod route for coyotes.
Unopened NIB magneto V3 with the hard to find softcase. I ended up getting a Labradar...
Used like new Hatch Outwest 7-27 bipod.
Still in the box it was mailed to me Magneto V3 w/soft case. I ended up buying a used one.
I’d like 375 for either TYD. Thanks for the look!
