Another handy tip we picked up this year is to carry a couple good size rocks with you. Lay the chains out flat put your rock in the center and drive up onto the rock. Gets the wheel off the ground so you can wiggle and slide the chain around on the tire.

Lab is definitely more difficult to get used to. Buddy of mine just bought a magneto. Seems easy to use and set up. Poi does change on everything we've used it for so far. Looking into an adapter or something to get it off the barrel.

A shaw barrel and tool kit can be had from midway fairly cheap. Screw it onto any savage long action and kill deer with it.
