Im launching 175gr nosler cc at 2760fps outa 26" barrel. Just wondering if this bullet will be ok at long range where velocity is low or rather go for the berger 168gr and try around 2800fps?
I fitted an adjustable scew to my rcbs seater, now I can only seat to a certain depth and be more consistant. I tapped a hole through the handle and fitted the screw which pushes againts the body.
Im also not very happy with Bushnell 's message system. I had the misfortune of letting my rifle fall over on a rock. This left unsightly marks on my turret caps and left a small dent on front objective lens where sunshade screws in. Now I cant screw in my sunshade anymore.
I contacted...
How many of you quench your brass after heating?
Ive read an article where its explained that the quenching does not change the brass properties so its not neccesary to do this step. But im not sure if this is true as I have tested it by quenching some and others not and it looks like the...
Old Teacher youre saying that you never have to fl size and only necksize. Well then you must have some great reloading skills or a something perfect with the rifle. Brass flows with every firing and eventualy on the shoulders making it hard for the bolt to close. Thats why youre forced to fl...
My 308 Lapua brass did 10 firings with just necksizing but got really hard to close the bolt. I had to fl size them to bump the shoulders back but then accuracy changes. Im looking at getting a Forster body die in the future. I also thought by necksizing the whole neck with my redding necksizer...
How many times have you fired this brass in these rifles? There comes a time when it becomes difficult to close the bolt on these cartridges and then youre forced to bump back the shoulders.
Wow 2750 with a 175gr is great. I'd be happy with that. And its a longer bullet. How do they perform on game at longrange when velocity is low? Is the nosler cc 175gr a identical bullet?
Really? I cant believe its bc is so low considering its a longer bullet then the ballistic tip (bc .43) Will have to shoot both at the same velocity and see which drops more at long range.
Very nice man. Would like to know more.
Was this your own reloads or factory match ammo?
What velocity do you launch these 168grainers?
Why not use the 155gr Lapua scenar?
If I do my calculations on jbm ballistic program it seems the lapuas launched at 2900fps still have higher velocity...
I got the Burris signature zee rings 30mm. They come in medium height with inserts to give me an extra 20moa. Fitted them to the bushnell 4.5-30x50 and everything seems fine. Using Nosler cc 155gr shooting 0.5" or less groups at 100yds with this gun is the order of the day.
