    Case cleaning

I want the brass to be clean every time and that means getting the carbon out of the necks. If I need a lube in the necks then I will use graphite. But it will be the same amount of graphite EVERY TIME. That's something you can't do with leaving carbon in the necks. It's not consistent. I use...

    Powder thrower "crunch"

It might not but whenever I "crunch" a throw it goes back into the hopper. In fact, if the throw doesn't feel right for whatever reason it goes back to the hopper.

    Cleaning brass

Many handloaders who clean using the pin method say that the pins do not damage the brass. But if the pins can damage the threads on a steel brake it will definitely damage brass which is much softer.

    Cleaning brass

Many tumblers are good just stay away from the wet method. Sure, it makes the brass REALLY shiny but at what cost (work hardening, etc). Use Lemishine for 45 mins and the dry tumble with crushed walnut media.

    Bullet puller

For a few rounds, a kinetic puller. For more that 10 or so, a Forster collet puller.

    223 Rem. Loads

Be careful with "pet" loads. They can bite you if you don't work up your loads by beginning with a starting load.

Seating die tilts to the rear on Co-Ax

I just wonder why only some dies exhibit this trait. If it was something to do with the press it would do this with all dies. My Co-Ax works fine and I get great concentricity.

    Annealing testing

If the brass necks get harder the more we load them then the neck tension would change. This would affect bullet release and, thus, powder burn rate. I like the idea of annealing for every loading.

Equipment question for a new guy.

I would have saved my money and made the Forster (then Bonanza) Co-Ax my first press. Get the RCBS Automatic primer press (bench mounted) and stay away from the hand priming tools. Your hands will thank you. Avoid those primer presses that allow you to adjust the seating depth. Just a gimmick...

    Ultramount question

My bench is 9' long and all my presses, RCBS auto priming tool, powder measures and mini-vise are mounted to 3/4" Baltic birch plywood. I then clamp them to whatever location on the bench best suits the procedure I'm doing. In the beginning you may think you know where you like the above listed...

    Scope Rings Selection?

I have used Burris Signature Zee rings on several rifles and they work great. They hold the scope tightly, look good, allow for adjustment within the rings and will not mar up the scope like other rings do. And they are much less expensive than the rings you listed.

How to Prove you Owned "High Capacity" Magazines?

The state has to prove that you acquired the mags after the measure becomes law. It's not your duty to prove that you owned them prior to the law going into effect. The state must prove their case. But then again you're dealing with democrats. Since when do they obey the law? Maybe a 120 man...

    Chronograph question

12' with an Oehler 33. I keep the readout unit at approx shoulder location to eliminate ERROR readings.
