I have the same questions, but I'm guessing the R & D is military funded, my guess is because they can. Supply and demand will eventually dictate that.

I agree they are anemic, but as any other new product/evolution, that will improve. Look at the cell phone, that intire industry said it would never work, just ask AT&T, but look at us now, we are basically cyborgs with these devices. Give it time and brass will be obsolete and an antiquated...

Good point, but the market for this ammo will be geared toward non reloaders. I might be out on a limb here, but I'm pretty sure there are more factory load shooters out there than reloaders. Just a thought

I'm for either, my intent is to put them down quickly. What I do prefer is the medium bore calibers with large for caliber bullets (.30 and .338 specifically), they just work. Although my 6.5 x 284 is a whitetail killing machine and my sons go to when we hunt.

based on your velocities given: the berger is 1763 FPS 23.80 MOA at 1000 and the A tip is 1760 FPS 23.85 MOA at 1000. Take it out to 1000 and see. I run those Bergers too and the BC's are pretty spot on.

This year I shot an Elk at 578 yds with a Berger 245 EOl, double lung his hind legs buckled and rolled down the hill, no exit wound lungs were mush. 2 weeks later shot a whitetail buck at 89 yds, same bullet, gun etc. Double lung, dropped right there. Lungs were mush no exit. Both animals...

The journey
